Dybbuk

* In Jewish mythology, a malicious possessing spirit Dybbuk (Hebrew ‘Yiddish’ meaning ‘to cling to’). The dislocated soul of a dead person which leaves the hosts body once it has accomplished its goal, sometimes after exorcism*.

To some the meaning of Dybbuk is founded in folklore. However, it is believed that these may be very real wandering entities whose sole intent is to cause harm.
